If you are in a velodrome; What would you be doing? Who was buried in Althorp estate in her ancestral home?-these and many other questions tested not only the quizzers’ knowledge but also how aware they are of the world they live in.

This edition was as intensely fought as the previous editions. This year saw a record participation of 315 teams from various city schools and a few outstation schools. The quiz was conducted by veteran quizmaster Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaium. This year the preliminary round was conducted in a new fashion, wherein the answer to each of the 26 questions began with the corresponding letters from A-Z. The new pattern ensured the prelims to be high scoring and intensely fought. Twelve of the best participating teams qualified for the stage round of the quiz. In the finals our school was represented by Pritheesh Parthiban and Rudra Ramanathan.

The chief guest for the quiz competition was Mrs. Sudha Murthy from Infosys and the icing on the cake was that the last question was based on her itself. The quiz was well appreciated by the audience and the participants alike. The winners of Exquizite 2009 were Shree Kumarans Children’s Home-CBSE who walked away with a cool Rs. 30,000 cash prize, the runners –up St. Josephs received a Rs. 15,000 cash prize. The second runners up Frank Anthony Public School received their due when Pickbrain gave a special award of Rs.5,000 to them.
