Thanksgiving Service
General

“We can always find something to be thankful for, and there may be reasons why we ought to be thankful for even those dispensations which appear dark and frowning. ~Albert Barnes

. The Thanksgiving ceremony was held on Thursday 28th, January at 4.00 pm at the auditorium. It is a very auspicious day in the lives of all our school leavers. The ceremony was attended by teachers and students alike.

The proceedings began with the Invocation hymn “Abba Father” rendered by the school choir. This was followed by the Adoration by the principal Colonel John Ellis.

The choir rendered some beautiful hymns throughout the program such as “Take my life and let it be”, “Go gently through the years” and “Onward Christian Soldiers”.

The candle was lit by Principal Colonel John Ellis, Mrs. Mary Mandi, Mrs. Joyce Nadugaddi, Mrs. Bindhya Kumar, and Mrs. Karen Ranganath which was followed by a prayer by Mrs. June Felsinger. We then had a few prayers requesting God to bestow upon us all the qualities that would make us better human beings and also blessings for the future ventures of the students.

The program came to an end with a speech by Mr. Kashi Rao one of our old cottonians who inspired us to face life’s challenges with determination. The school leavers were given mementos and memories to remember their school and cherish this moment forever.
