Pakenham Walsh House Captian's Report
House Report

The excitement and thrill of leading one of the most populated houses in Bishop Cotton Boys’ School is something which words can definitely NEVER describe. Being just 11months new to the school, I was very nervous about how would I be able to keep up the standards that this great House and previous captains’ had 3.0set! This nervousness was soon replaced with confidence, as each and every person involved in the House came up to me and encouraged me.

Though the spirit of the House was high we slipped from our USUAL first position to fourth. This really did fire the blood of everyone in the house and we all vowed that we’d do everything to improve.

And it DID!!! I was amazed at the way the boys’ lifted themselves up. . Their attitude and mind were set to achieve our goals. It started with a jerky Debate competition, but this didn’t let us down. We went on to win the Spelling Bee and Quiz competitions. The first sport that we played was Cricket and though we faired well there, many others doubted our achievement in sports. Little did they know that our boys’ were all fired up and were determined to win the Annual Sports Day. Yes, our desire and confidence was such that we secured a medal in almost every event and went on to win at the Middle and Senior Sports Day. The teachers’ and boys’ co-coordinated with each other and had a very good rapport.

Everybody, right from the junior boys’ to the seniors’ had the most amazing attitude. I was in thrilled by this TEAM SPIRIT. After all our events (sports and cultural) we’ve secured a commendable second position. I hope we do better next year and be the cock-house.

I would not have been able to achieve all of this without the support from my d Housemistress – Ms.K.Collison and all the other teachers involved in our house. A special thank you to all my mates. It is because of them, that we’ve been able to achieve this. I’ve enjoyed myself working here and I’ve experienced the maximum any student would want to.

THANK YOU EVERY ONE.
