The Pettigrew Resource Centre

Yet another landmark in the history of Cottons was the construction of an impressive building, the Pettigrew Resource Centre, for which the foundation stone was laid by the former President of India, His Excellency Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma. Named after the Founder of Bishop Cotton Boys' School, this Centre houses a Library, a Study Hall and a Dormitory. A marble bust of Rev. S. T. Pettigrew adorns the Library, covering an area of 7974 sq. ft. in the basement and ground floor. This spacious Library has a storage space for over a lakh books, with a Reference Section containing the latest editions. The Library can accommodate a hundred students at a time.

Above the Library, is a Multi-purpose Hall covering an area of 3904 sq.ft, which is well-furnished with the atest amenities. This is used by the Boarders for study purposes and can be used for extracurricular activities during the day. To maintain discipline, Matrons and Dorm Masters are accommodated on the same floor.

On the second floor is the Junior School Boarders dormitory covering an area of 3874 sq.ft. This well-ventilated and spacious dormitory can house 80 boarders. It includes modern amenities like individual lockers, round-the-clock hot water supply and large bathrooms and toilets. The Junior Dormitory being `A Home away from home' is the best boarding facility on the Campus.
